Achieve Your Goals in 2019

 In Business, Networking Events

There was standing room only at our first networking event of 2019 in the unique surroundings of Rediscovery Centre on Tuesday 29th January.  The theme for this meeting was all about setting and achieving your goals in 2019.  How appropriate it was then to welcome Ballymun native Ger Prendergast who regaled us with inspirational stories of how he won DecUK 2017, completed 52 triathlon’s in 52 weeks and 10 Ironman’s in 10 days. People there on the night were agog as they listened to Ger’s feats of mental and physical strength and how he overcame numerous challenges to reach his goals  Some in the audience questioned weather he was even human, while others sympathised with his wife Miriam for having to endure Ger’s obsession!

We were delighted to welcome members from our neighbouring network, My Drumcondra and to get everybody acquainted with one another, everyone in the room did a 30 second pitch on who they are and what their business is.  As ever this segment was facilitated by our AIB member Maureen Byrne and pretty soon the room was a buzz with people making new connections and swapping business cards.

On the night we heard from Annabelle Conway, Innovate Dublin who spoke about the benefits of being a member of B4b and the business already being done among members of the network.  Chairman Robert Murphy closed off the meeting with an update on B4b’s exciting plans for 2019.  And with that it was on-wards and upwards for 2019 as people headed off into the evening chill emboldened by their ever expanding little black book of contacts.
