Where does the time go, is it really June already! Summer is finally here and long may the good weather continue. B4b is hosting an action packed BBQ to kick off the summer season with a bang. Aside from great food provided by Nan’s Supervalu we will have an update on local economic development projects from Liam Barry, Economic Development Officer, DCC as well an update on how the economy is performing and great b2b networking opportunities for our members. B4b likes to get out and about in the locality and this meeting is kindly being hosted by the Ballymun Child & Family resource Centre.
Why you should attend
In October 2017 Dublin City Councillors adopted A Local Area Plan for Ballymun. The LAP sets out all the vacant sites in Ballymun that are available for commercial, industrial & residential development. Since the plan was adopted a Ballymun LAP implementation team has been in place to oversee the development of these sites. There has been some success to date such as the disposal of a site to French retailing giant Decathlon and Liam Barry who is an economic development officer designated specifically to Ballymun will be at the meeting to provide an update on this as well as all the other latest developments in Ballymun. This should be of significant interest if you are running a business in Ballymun.
We will have a senior economist on hand to provide an update on how the economy is performing & the economic outlook for the remainder of the year. As well as that there will be great b2b opportunities for those who attend and an opportunity for some of our members to pitch their business.
Not a member? – don’t worry
If you are a business owner in Ballymun or are from Ballymun and own a business elsewhere and not a member but would like to attend we would be delighted to welcome you to any one of our meetings to see what we are all about. We will be happy to chat you about the advantages of joining B4b and how we can benefit your business. After that it’s entirely up to you but we do hope you choose B4b as your local Business network for membership!!
