Great turn out for our Ikea networking event
Thanks to everyone who turned up to our Ikea networking event. The event was completely sold out, of course, all of our members got their tickets first, but not all non-members who showed an interest got a ticket. Make sure for our Christmas networking event that you get in there as quickly as you can to grab a ticket. Or join up and make sure you get first refusal.
The evening kicked off with a welcome from Robert Murphy our beloved Chairman. Then Claudia Marshall and Deborah Anderson from Ikea took to the stage to give us some input into Ikea – both globally and it’s presence in Ireland. Did you know that the Ikea restaurant in Ballymun is the largest restaurant in Ireland? Or that the Ballymun store is the 7th largest Ikea store in the world in terms of turnover. What a phenomenal achievement for Ikea Ireland and for Ballymun.
Next, we heard from our members – Eimer Duffy of Fit Social media, Paula Mooney of Infinity Therapy Rooms and Sean Boland of Be Well Physio. Each one gave us an overview of their business. Take a look at our videos on Facebook to get their full pitches.
Liam Barry, Enterprise Development Manager for Ballymun then took to the stage with the local area development plan. His full presentation can be seen here.
And last but certainly not least we had Greg Fry from Content Plan giving us a larger than life insight into some great social media tactics to make a big impact and get noticed. This is one presentation worth watching for some great nuggets and helpful apps.
